What Are Nightly Notes?

• They're the opposite of Morning Pages.
• So they're written at night instead of first thing in the morning.
• They are typed instead of handwritten,
• They're public instead of private,
• They're guided by questions instead of flowing freely
• A completed entry consists of six questions and six answers instead of three pages
• Since they are public others are allowed to comment on them

Nightly Notes; THE QUESTIONS Who impressed you the most today? What did you do all day? When did you leave the house today? Where did you go today? Why didn't you get more done today? Queston for me? ANY time you answer the questions you can email them to me and I'll post them.

• who impressed me the most today? Mrs. M - My friend who led a very useful and insightful PD session on sculpture in general, the work of Ed Hamilton in particular.
  

  I feel like Charlotte Forten Grimke! J and FB and Mrs M - the names have been changed to protect the innocent people who don't know that I'm blogging about them :-)
  

• what did I do all day? I worked in my studio like a good artist. I like to work on three things at a time so that I can mull on one while actually "working" on another. So in addition to completing a major task for the memoir series I reintroduced myself to my tarot-inspired piece, Prescriptions For (What Ails) The Daughters Of Eve. I've been thinking on it and had it put up but today I made a place to work on it. So I have these three things going: (1) 12-piece memoir series (which doesn't have an official title yet, (2) Prescriptions, (3) Random Thoughts - a series of found object collages.
  
• when did I leave the house? 3:40
  
• where did I go today? The Speed and a community meeting
  
• why didn't I get more done today? I left the house at 3:45 and didn't return until 9:45.
  
• how could I have been more productive? In theory it would have been more productive for me, (Gwen, the artist/novelist) to stay in the house but I needed to go to the two places I went to because I am multipurpose! Besides leaving the house at times other than sheer necessity is normal. And I do want to maintain
  some normalcy - don't I?
